The truth is, I do not like Google Chrome or Firefox very much. I have to give up features that IE offers, in order to use the other browsers.
I would really rather stick with IE. But this latest greedy move by MS will force me to settle for a browser I do not like as well. And then what happens down the road when MS decides to upgrade the internet to the point where us Vista users can no longer use any browser that works right? MS just keeps doing this to us every few years and they don't seem to give a flip about who they hurt along the way.
I guess us poorer folk on fixed incomes are not important to them as those who can afford every new gimmick they come up with to make even more cash. The saddest part is that none of us little people can do anything about it.
MS makes so much money that they don't have to listen to their customers anymore, and they can do pretty much anything they wish and get away with it. People used to matter to big businesses. But not anymore. Now they don't have to care. Some websites that report that they do not work with IE9, do actually mostly still work- Yahoo Mail for one. Gee well that is real nice Don, but what about those of us who are poor and on fixed incomes that can not afford to buy a new Windows OS or even a new computer.
So every 5 or 6 years, Microsoft gets to make me buy a new computer with their new expensive software just so I can surf the web????? And what happens in another year when Chrome, Firefox, and Opera become obsolete and they won't work either?
If those browsers can still be made to work with Vista, then obviously so can IE9. But Microsoft owns IE9 and they need to sell new software to poor people who can barely afford food and meds on Social Security. What a darn good racket Microsoft has going there. They get to control the internet and all of it's software and protocols, and they can change anything they want at anytime and make the software they sold us earlier, become out of date in 5 years so we have to buy their new software and computers.
